Day Six of 84

Today's weight - 78.4   [172.5 lbs]    (19.3 kgs to go) [42.5 lbs]
weight loss to date - 700 grams [1.5 lbs]

Today's positives - bike ride to Clifton Hill with kids

Today's negatives - still not enough water. I love to drink water and don't drink anything else (no soft drink/tea/coffee) but the cold makes me struggle to get more than a litre into me. In summer I could easier gulp down 3 or 4 litres.

Weight didn't move today but I am under no illusions! If I have a loss of any weight by the end of the first week (tomorrow!) I'll be very happy

Day Five of 84

Today's weight - 78.4   [172.5 lbs]    (19.3 kgs to go) [42.5 lbs]
weight loss to date - 700 grams [1.5 lbs]

Today's positives - X trainer 20 minutes. 2 Hour walk Home - Op Shop - Guitar World, Northcote - Another Oppy - Library - Home. Good pace (note to self - wear thicker socks, blisters on the ball of both feet is not comfortable!)

Today's negatives - Blisters on both feet, weight fluctuation.

This is the negative side of daily weigh ins. I know that it is bound to happen so am not too worried about it. Hoping to see it return to a loss tomorrow.

Day Four of 84

Today's weight - 78.1   [171.8 lbs]    (19.0 kgs to go) [41.8 lbs]
weight loss to date - 1 kg [2.2 lbs]

Today's positives - jumped on the cross trainer this morning for the length of episode 1 of 30 Rock (about 20 minutes). Also walked with the kids to Coburg Library (about 30 minutes each way). Bit more water consumed today.

Today's negatives - I'm hungry now!

Yay! I just earned my first 1kg loss reward! I gotta come up with 19 more rewards (ones that don't require too much money!). Any ideas??

Day Three of 84

Today's weight - 78.6 (19.5 kgs to go)
weight loss to date - 500 grams

Today's positives -again doing well with food. Even happily watched J munch away on LOTF onion rings and it didn't even bother me! Was excited to see the numbers going down on the scales.

Today's negatives - no chance again for exercise.

J brought in my cross trainer tonight.I plan on starting slowly with extra exercise. I want to do a daily walk, then add a x trainer session (while watching an episode of one of the many TV on DVD shows I've got hanging around), then get up to 2 - one in the morning and one in the evening. Also planning on going to the gym when J comes home on the weekends - when I get my mojo back! Slow and steady wins the race.

day one of 84

Today's weight: 79.1kg (20 kgs to go)

Today's exercise: an almost 8km walk to Northcote Shopping Centre/Library and back (45 minutes each way)

Today's food:
Breakfast - giant glass of green smoothie (baby spinach, frozen banana, 3 pears, flaxseeds, dates)

Lunch - two small patties of homemade lentil pecan burgers, small salad (YEP! I said salad!) of baby spinach, avocado, red capsicum, mushroom, grated carrot, tomato, cucumber

Snack - quite a lot (too much really) dried banana. (note to self - check out calories of my new sweet addiction. It's gotta be better than lollies, right?)
Small amount of cashews

Dinner - Rest of the green smoothie I made this morning - about 2 giant glasses full.

Hardest part today? Jumping into a warm bed early and not snacking! I made sure I didn't eat after 7pm.

I no where near reached my water target today. Will try harder tomorrow. I also took measurements today, but will post tomorrow.

I have a confession to make

I'm fat!

There! I said it! I'm a big, giant, overweight lard arse! And I have had ENOUGH!

Ok, so here is the plan to combat my wide load:

* Daily long walks with the kids (today we walked to Coburg, picked up a couple of things for dinner and walked back. Tomorrow we'll try Northcote SC)
* Weigh myself daily (and record on my graph) to keep motivation (I know, I know. It also goes against everything I believe, but  I want to give it a go in the hope that it will keep me motivated on a daily basis)
* Eat less bread, pasta, rice (especially of the white variety)
* Cut out sugars (except natural ones. Does that mean I have given myself permission to gorge on raw almond date balls? I think yes)
* Drink 3-4 litres of water
* Read weight loss blogs DAILY (so that means less home schooling and vegan blogs...for now)
* Make a list of rewards for each lost kilo. I'm aiming for 20kg off (I've already got an idea for my first lost kilogram - a new pair of knickers! I don't have the cash for big, expensive rewards and I AM in desperate need of new undies!)
* Cross off each day on a chart (I'm starting with 12 weeks - 84 days - and take it from there)
* Take measurements every 4 weeks
* Keep up the 'Raw until at least lunch time' thing with lots of green smoothies
* Wear comfortable, exercise clothes daily ie. sports bra, trackies, joggers so there is no excuse. I can get back to wearing make up and nice clothes once my confidence (and nice body) return
* Try to get in at least 2 full body weight sessions a week (I have a full gym membership doing NOTHING for goodness sake! I am still trying to work out how I can fit this one in with the kids)
* No eating after 7pm (this one will be tricky for a while I reckon! I enjoy a small handful of cashews with a few squares of dark chocolate while in bed, playing on my Mac with Foxtel on in the background)
* Smaller portions, especially at dinner. Crack out the small bowl and plate that you bought for this purpose)
*When I get my shit together (ie. more motivation) introduce morning and night 20 minutes cardio
* Blog daily about how it is all going, even if it is just one sentence.
* Come up with a 'RED FLAG' weight after I have achieved my 20kg loss and never go past it again (and if I get close, work hard to get back to happy weight)
* START NOW

So, I think that is it. It seems like a lot, but it isn't really that restrictive, so I feel excited about the prospect of having my old body back.

I'll let you know how I go.
